Clinical Research Endowment Fund

The Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons has created an Endowment Fund with the mission of advancing and supporting clinical research related to plastic surgery. The Fund will be managed by the Educational Foundation of the CSPS. The purpose of the Fund is:

  • to provide seed funding to stimulate clinically applied research in all areas of plastic surgery
  • to support ou membership in performing clinical outcomes research that will have important implications for health care policy affecting our specialty
  • to specifically encourage the involvement of the community based plastic surgeon in such research
  • to address outcomes of our patients so that we can further improve the quality of care and standardize our clinical practice guidelines


In 1996, the first year of the Fund, two $10 000 grants will be awarded for Clinical Outcomes Research. Members of the Society, and Residents and Fellows with a member sponsor are eligible to apply for the Grants.

As an expression of that concern the CSPS Endowment Fund will assist in ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate and best care available.Your generous support of the CSPS Endowment Fund will make it possible for the plastic surgery community to contribute significantly to maintaining the high standard of care for which plastic surgeons are recognized.
